Calculates total drawdown time for treatment volume in storm water ponds and exfiltration systems. Both unsaturated and unsaturated flow conditions are considered.  Drawdown times occurring under  saturated flow conditions are based on the Simplified Analytical Method as presented in SJ93-SP10 and the St. Johns River Water Management District Applicant’s Hand Book.

ExFiltV4.1 calculates the total drawdown time for treatment  water in storm water ponds and exfiltration systems due to both unsaturated and saturated flow conditions.  Saturated flow time calculation is based on the Simplified Analytical Method.  The methodology is presented in SJ93-SP10 as well as the St. Johns River Water Management District Applicant’s Hand Book.  The theory is that unsaturated flow occurs first up until the soil becomes saturated.  Then saturated flow or ground water mounding occurs.  This program calculates the total time it takes for the depth of stormwater retained for treatment to drawdown. This total time is the summation of the time under unsaturated conditions and the time under saturated flow conditions.  It also adjusts the porosity of the storage media in exfiltration systems due to pipe structures.
